Universitas Bina Mandiri Students Begin One-Month Internship at CPR, USM

The Centre for Policy Research (CPR) at the University of Science, Malaysia warmly welcomed 21 female students from Universitas Bina Mandiri, Indonesia, who arrived as part of the CPR internship program. These students, coming from diverse academic backgrounds, will be interning for a month. They were accompanied by program lecturers, Dr. Ayu and Dr. Dayang. Upon their arrival on August 6, 2024, they were accommodated at Desasiswa Saujana to facilitate easy commuting to their workplace and manage their daily activities.

The day began with a light lunch gathering, foestering engagement between involved parties, followed by a briefing session led by the supervising faculty member, Prof. Madya Dr. Mohd Reevany Bustami, who provided preliminary insights into the program, outlining the students' roles and responsibilities throughout their internship. This session was followed by further group formation & task division, which include both representatives of UMB & UBM in subsequent project collaboration.

Following the briefing, the students were given a tour of the CPR office, including their personal workspaces. They were also introduced to local USM staff and fellow Indonesian colleagues from Universitas Mercu Buana. These activities were aimed at easing their transition into the internship roles, helping them familiarize themselves with the new environment, and establishing initial professional connections.
