Strengthening Social Sustainability through Student Exchange Engagement at PPDK USM

Disember 2024; Students from the CPR–Universitas Mercu Buana & Bina Mandiri Student Exchange were given the opportunity to engage in activities with children at the Community-Based Rehabilitation Centre (PPDK), Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). The program aimed to provide international students with exposure to inclusive education approaches, community empowerment, and greater awareness of the needs of children with special needs.

Throughout the program, students actively participated in various interactive, creative, and game-based learning activities alongside the children at PPDK. These activities not only encouraged social interaction and emotional development among the children but also fostered empathy, social responsibility, and cross-cultural understanding among the students.

The program also reflects the commitment of the Centre for Policy Research (CPR), USM, together with its international partners, to supporting social sustainability, experiential learning, and the strengthening of academic and community engagement at the regional level.
