Experiencing Malaysian Heritage: Lecture Series for HCU Students at USM
August 22, 2025; As part of the USM–HCU Student Exchange Programme, HCU students attended Lecture 1, which was divided into two slots:
Slot A – Featuring Students from USM
Presented by Muhammad Anas (Ex-student, USM), this session showcased experiences and insights from USM students, highlighting academic journeys, student life, and cross-cultural learning opportunities at USM.
Slot B – UNESCO Heritage in Penang
Delivered by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sazlina Md Salleh, this lecture provided students with an overview of Penang’s UNESCO heritage sites, emphasizing the cultural, historical, and sustainable management aspects of heritage preservation.
These lectures aimed to enhance HCU students’ understanding of Malaysian culture, heritage, and academic practices, supporting cross-cultural learning and experiential engagement during the exchange programme.
