Engaging with Social Science Infrastructure: A Visit to FIS, Universitas Negeri Malang, Indonesia
As part of our outbound programme with Universitas Negeri Malang, we had the opportunity to tour the Fakultas Ilmu Sosial (FIS) on 7th Aug 2025. During the visit, the lecturers from FIS graciously hosted us and introduced us to several key facilities that support teaching and research within the faculty.
Our visit included a tour of the Social Science Laboratory, where we learned about the tools and resources available to students and researchers for conducting social science experiments and fieldwork simulations. We were also given access to the Social Science Podcast Studio, an innovative space designed to enhance digital learning and student engagement through media production. Lastly, we visited the faculty library, which offers an extensive collection of books, journals, and digital resources relevant to various disciplines within the social sciences.
Overall, the visit provided valuable insights into how Universitas Negeri Malang supports interdisciplinary learning and research within the field of social sciences. We deeply appreciate the warm welcome and the opportunity to exchange knowledge and ideas during the tour.
