The Centre for Policy Research (CPR), Universiti Sains Malaysia, in collaboration with Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), organized the JOMCHECK Malaysia Clinic at CPR, USM on 23 September 2024.

This program was initiated by Associate Professor Dr. Azman Azwan Azmawati, Honorary Associate Professor at CPR, to introduce the USM community to the JOMCHECK initiative.

The Klinik Cerdik Fakta (KLICK) is an initiative by JOMCHECK Malaysia, supported by the Google News Initiative, aimed at enhancing public knowledge to combat the spread of misinformation.

JOMCHECK Malaysia is the first fact-checking network in Malaysia, bringing together academics, media organizations, and civil society to fight the dissemination of false information, particularly within Malaysia.

The spread of misinformation, especially through social media, poses a threat to national harmony and security. Therefore, JOMCHECK Malaysia is committed to countering false narratives through a structured fact-checking process.
