CPR Policy Dialogue Series "ASEAN Policy Solutions for Shared Growth"
The Centre for Policy Research (CPR), Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), successfully organised the CPR Policy Dialogue Series: ASEAN Policy Solutions for Shared Growth, bringing together policymakers, academics, economists, and institutional leaders to discuss strategic opportunities for inclusive and sustainable growth in ASEAN.
The programme promoted SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth by advancing regional economic integration and policy reforms to support sustainable growth. Through high-level panel discussions on Non-Tariff Barriers (NTBs) and regulatory fragmentation, it addressed SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities, encouraging balanced development across ASEAN economies.
The launch of IMPAKT Nasional, CPR’s evidence-based policy evaluation initiative, strengthened institutional innovation and governance frameworks, contributing to SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure and SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions.
Cross-border collaboration among universities, think tanks, policymakers, and ASEAN stakeholders enhanced SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, fostering multi-sectoral dialogue and sustainable networks.
Overall, the programme reinforced CPR and USM’s role as a regional policy hub, strengthened strategic partnerships, and generated actionable insights for inclusive, evidence-based policy development in ASEAN.
